PSPL League Play Begins

Opening weekend for U17 Boys, U14 Girls, and U13 Girls

PSPL League Play Begins

The time has finally come after Summer tournaments and a couple of months of hard training for PSPL League play.

The U17 boys head into league play after two tournaments this Summer. The boys of TCUFC competed at a high level against very good competition in the Salmon Creek Nike Cup and also at the Starfire Extreme Cup. They play road warriors this weekend as they have two games in Eastern Washington. They play FC Spokane on Saturday and EW Surf SC Palouse . We hope they can come up with a couple of wins this weekend! The U17 Boys are coached by Lance Pennington.

The U14 Girls travel as well this weekend. Their trip is a long-haul as well, but not quite as far as the boys. The U14 Girls team led by Coach Steve Ward will head to Bellevue to face Titans FC. The Ward led U14 Girls got a taste of better competition when they competed in the Kick In The Grass Tournament this Summer and faced teams that were as good, if not better than teams they will face in league this year. This opening matchup is very imporant to Wards' team as the have been bumped up a notch on the PSPL divisons, coming off a First Place league finish in the Fall and a 2nd Place finish in the Winter/Spring. Good luck ladies!

The U13 Girls take a short road trip up to the Lacey RAC to face TC United. This will also be the opening league game for the young ladies led by Coach Kevin Schultz. The youngest group of ladies for TCUFC competed in two tournaments this Summer and improved in each of the tournaments they played in. They kicked off the Summer competing in the Kick In The Grass Tournament and finished the Summer off with the Starfire Extreme Cup, where they finished third. We wish these ladies good luck this weekend as well!
